High-density polyethylene or HDPE is a commonly used petroleum thermoplastic and the most used of the three polyethylenes for a wide range of applications.
LDPE (low-density polyethylene) is a soft, flexible, lightweight plastic material. LDPE is noted for its low-temperature flexibility, toughness, and corrosion resistance.
Polyethylene terephthalate or PET belongs to the family of polyesters. It is widely used in everyday items and is easily recyclable.
Polystyrene (PS) is a versatile plastic used to make a wide variety of consumer products. As a hard, solid plastic, it is often used in products that require clarity, such as food packaging and laboratory ware.
Polypropylene (PP) is a thermoplastic “addition polymer” made from a combination of propylene monomers. It is used in a variety of applications including packaging for consumer products, and plastic parts for various industries including the automotive industry.
Expanded PolyStyrene (EPS) is a white foam plastic material produced from solid beads of polystyrene. It is primarily used for packaging, insulation, etc. It is a closed-cell, rigid foam material produced from Styrene – which forms the cellular structure.
